Pierre Doulcet has joined North Rock as a systematic equity portfolio manager in London. Doulcet, who is French and who began his career at BNP Paribas and SocGen, has spent the past seven years as a portfolio manager at DWS Group. The FCA Register shows him joining North Rock on July 8th.

Doulcet didn't respond to a request to comment for this article. It's understood that he will help build the systematic equities arm of North Rock in Europe. There may be further hires to come.

North Rock already has a long/short equity and a capital markets business in Europe. The fund went on a hiring spree in London for these areas of its business three years ago.
