UBS private banker in Singapore performed an athletic manoeuvre to celebrate leaving

Michael Sutter left UBS after a long, long time at the firm. The Swiss private banker joined the Swiss bank all the way back in 2000, and spent his entire time there with only a brief 10-month interlude at BNP Paribas in 2018.
In a LinkedIn post celebrating his departure, Sutter posted a strange video jumping over the entrance turnstiles to a UBS office, presumably in Singapore, where he last worked for the firm, before the camera zooms in on his face to turn into a generic corporate headshot.
“In an age shaped by AI, no barrier (and no turnstile) is too high if you are willing to challenge yourself and follow what feels right,” Sutter said. “I recently made the decision to take a bold leap of faith.”
It isn’t clear where Sutter is going next – he did not respond to a request for comment on this article. His professional circle, however, is very supportive: “What a glorious jump,” one person said. “Impressive first jump and step,” said fellow UBS executive director and 28-year veteran of the firm Pietro Zarrilli. “The video was seriously well done,” said another UBS colleague.
The cause for Sutter’s departure from UBS isn’t very clear either. The bank recently reshuffled its senior leadership in Southeast Asia, Hubbis reported.
