BNP Paribas's top trading professionals are moving on

There have been some changes at BNP Paribas. Some people have left. Some people have moved around.

The leavers include Jaafer Amrani, BNP's head of liquidity strategy for EMEA equities. They are also understood to include Adrian Hudd, BNP's global head of G10 FX swaps.

Amrani didn't respond to a request to comment for this article, but is thought to be moving to a new role elsewhere. Hudd also didn't respond to a request to comment; the FCA Register shows him leaving the French bank at the end of last month. 

BNP Paribas didn't respond to a request to comment either. Amrani joined BNP via Exane in 2023, and is the latest ex-Exane figure to exit. As head of liquidity strategy for EMEA equities, he managed market structure, internal and external liquidity and represented the firm with regulators. Hudd joined from Credit Agricole in 2007; he spent the first 12 years of his career at BNP in New York and returned to London as global head of G10 FX swaps in 2020.

Amrani and Hudd are not BNP's only moves. We understand that senior people are also moving internally. Joe Bonnaud, BNP's deputy head of global markets Americas is thought to be returning to London after nearly four years. Arno De Tregomain, the current COO for global markets at BNP in London, is thought to be going to New York in his place.
