BGC Partners' former head of structured products is back, and is hiring

It used to be said that more two years out of the market were undesirable for markets careers, but Sean Juneja, who spent 13 years as global head of structured products at BCG in London, is the strong exception to this piece of lore. 

After a 13 year career detour that involved returning to New York, founding and bootstrapping an interior design website and then working as a strategic advisor, Juneja is back in the saddle. And he is hiring on his new horse.

As of last month, Juneja is a managing director and the global head of structured credit at CoEx Partners, a division of the TP ICAP group. 

Juneja didn't comment for this article, but the expectation is that he will build out a global structured credit business for CoEx. Over time, this could result in substantial hiring. Salespeople in banks are thought to be the target recruits. 

TP ICAP acquired CoEx, an independent agency broker, in 2017. Until now, CoEx has focused on exchange traded derivatives, FX, rate swaps, equity derivatives and quant arbitrage. Structured credit is a new product line. At BGC, Juneja built the structured credit business into the market leader in the interdealer broker market. 

Markus Weber, Juneja's former colleague at the interior design website, has not gone back to his former career at PWC. Weber is now a German firm that harnesses AI to help people repair household gadgets.
