We are seeking a seasoned Compliance professional to join a leading bank in Hong Kong. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with Global Markets and key stakeholders, providing regulatory guidance and ensuring adherence to evolving compliance requirements.

Your new role

• Provide advisory support to the Global Markets business across a wide range of products, including FX, Rates, Fixed Income, Structured Products, Derivatives, and other capital markets activities.
  • Act as the key contact point for regulatory enquiries, coordinating information requests and liaising with both regulators and internal stakeholders.
    • Monitor and interpret regulatory developments, conduct gap analyses, and provide practical compliance advice to support implementation of new regulatory requirements, including post-implementation reviews where appropriate.
      • Review and enhance compliance policies, procedures, controls, and governance frameworks to ensure alignment with regulatory expectations and internal standards.
• Monitor and interpret regulatory developments from local regulators, assess business impact, and advise stakeholders on implementation requirements.
• Advise on conduct risk, market conduct, conflicts of interest, information barriers, communications surveillance, and other Global Markets compliance matters.
• Support business initiatives and strategic projects by providing compliance input throughout the product life cycle and change management process.
• Investigate compliance incidents, regulatory breaches, and conduct-related matters, ensuring appropriate escalation, remediation, and reporting.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor Degree holder.
• Require 5-7+ years of relevant compliance experience in Banking, preferably with experience in covering Global Markets/FICC.
• Sound knowledge of Global Markets products, including FX, Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives, Structured Products, and Capital Markets activities.
• Strong understanding of Hong Kong banking regulations and financial markets products.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience interacting directly with regulators.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Fluent in Chinese is a must.
