Primary Function

The Front Office Analyst will collaborate with transaction and relationship managers to evaluate structured and corporate energy transactions across the full deal lifecycle - from origination through closing - while supporting ongoing portfolio management.

Responsibilities

• Assess client creditworthiness through financial analysis, strategic business evaluation, and cash flow modeling.
• Conduct comprehensive due diligence, including analysis of company and industry risks, evaluation of financial structures, and assessment of risk/return profiles across transactions and relationships.
• Prepare credit proposals in accordance with internal processes, coordinate with credit teams in New York and Paris, and present recommendations to credit committee for approval.
• Serve as a key liaison between product teams - including project finance, leveraged finance, trade finance, and securitization - and risk management.
• Review and analyze legal documentation related to transactions.
• Manage a portfolio of clients and transactions, including periodic credit reviews and ongoing monitoring of financial performance and industry dynamics.
• Coordinate with clients, external financial institutions, and internal credit and commercial teams as required.
• Build sector expertise and client relationships through participation in client meetings, industry conferences, and webinars.
• Support coverage bankers and PCO teams in origination and commercial efforts across the client and prospect portfolio.

Salary Range: $110k - $125k

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

• 1-2+ years of relevant experience; MBA a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in financial modeling and Microsoft Excel
• Solid understanding of accounting principles
• Prior experience in financial or credit analysis at a financial institution or rating agency
• Experience in the energy sector or in project/structured finance is a plus
