About the team

The Environments team is part of the Workplace organization at Stripe, within the broader Finance organization. The team combines expertise in project delivery, interior design, and space planning to create welcoming, functional spaces that balance operational integrity with craft, beauty, and moments of whimsy.

The team applies consistent global principles and high standards while responding to local culture, context, and user needs. The goal is to create workplaces that function intuitively, reflect Stripe, and help employees do their best work.
What you'll do

You'll shape and deliver workplaces across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, leading projects that range from targeted improvements to complex fit-outs and major developments. You'll partner with regional and global teams to turn workplace strategy and standards into spaces that respond to local context and user needs.

This role requires travel within Europe and occasional international travel based on project needs.
Responsibilities

• Lead multiple workplace projects of varying sizes, complexity, and stages, with end-to-end accountability for scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and delivery
• Translate global workplace strategy, design guidelines, and operational standards into locally effective project plans and outcomes
• Establish project governance, including decision rights, stakeholder checkpoints, escalation paths, risk management, and concise reporting
• Lead technical due diligence and evaluate project constraints, delivery options, opportunities, and commercial trade-offs
• Partner with Workplace Design, Space Planning, Workplace Operations, Real Estate, Finance and Strategy, Information Technology and Audio Visual, Security, Legal, and other regional and global teams
• Select and manage external project managers, architects, engineers, contractors, furniture suppliers, and specialist consultants
• Ensure workplace designs function effectively and balance operational integrity with craft, beauty, and thoughtful moments of whimsy

Who you are

Minimum requirements

• 6+ years of experience directly managing workplace, commercial construction, or office fit-out projects across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa or multiple international markets
• Knowledge of construction delivery, including building services and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, workplace technology, cost management, procurement, scheduling, and risk management
• Experience managing multiple projects, budgets, priorities, and external partners while maintaining a high standard of delivery
• Experience creating alignment across regional and global stakeholders, making informed decisions, challenging assumptions, and incorporating feedback
• Practical artificial intelligence literacy, including the ability to identify appropriate uses, evaluate outputs critically, and use artificial intelligence responsibly to improve the quality or efficiency of your work

Preferred qualifications

• Experience as an in-house owner's representative
• Experience reading and interpreting leases, work letters, landlord obligations, and related real estate documents
• Land-use or city-planning experience
• Facilities or workplace operations management experience
• Commercial kitchen and food-service programming, design, or construction experience
• Experience delivering projects with sustainability, wellness, accessibility, or indoor environmental quality goals
