Job Description

The Client Compliance team at IQ-EQ Jersey plays a critical role in supporting our supervised clients to meet their regulatory obligations. We work collaboratively, share expertise, and strive for excellence in delivering high-quality compliance services across a diverse client base.

What you'll do
  • You'll lead financial crime risk oversight as MLCO, ensuring robust AML/CFT compliance, advising boards on obligations and emerging risks, and overseeing the effectiveness of the MLRO.
  • You'll design, implement, and continuously improve risk-based Compliance Monitoring Programmes, delivering clear, accurate reporting to client governing bodies.
  • You'll support and execute the client compliance programme across a portfolio, ensuring consistent application of frameworks, tools, technologies, and regulatory standards.
  • You'll manage day-to-day compliance activities including testing, remediation tracking, reporting, record-keeping, and presenting insights at board meetings with strong attention to detail and deadlines.
  • You'll provide leadership and guidance to junior team members, fostering high standards through coaching, quality reviews, collaboration, and continuous process improvement.

What we offer
  • Comprehensive remuneration and pension: motivating financial packages based upon market rates for your role and is proportionate to your qualifications, level of experiences and skills profile
  • Wellbeing: additional social benefits such as private health and dental cover, life assurance, discounted gym membership, eye test and corporate GP
  • Annual leave: our employees are entitled to 25 days paid leave plus all Ireland public holidays
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity, including shared parental leave and adoption leave
  • Flexible working: we recognise the value of working flexibly and want to ensure all employees enjoy an excellent work-life blend. As such, we are open to conversations with employees related to setting up flexible working arrangements

Qualifications
  • You have a strong academic background with a recognised compliance qualification and a solid understanding of relevant legislation (including AML/CFT/CPF), Codes of Practice, and supervisory expectations within Jersey's Trust and Funds sector.
  • You can design and execute risk-based compliance monitoring programmes, supported by strong analytical, numeracy, and monitoring skills, with familiarity in Virtual and Digital Assets as an advantage.
  • You confidently engage with boards, senior stakeholders, and regulated professionals, demonstrating clear, concise, and professional written and verbal communication.
  • You effectively guide junior staff, review compliance outputs, and maintain high standards through excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • You possess strong IT proficiency and are skilled in using relevant applications to support compliance activities and reporting.
