A boutique private credit investment manager is seeking an experienced operations leader to join on an interim basis during a key phase of transformation and growth.
This is a senior, broad-ranging mandate working directly with executive leadership, offering genuine influence over the firm’s operating model across investment operations, finance, and technology/vendor management .
The OpportunityThe firm is a lean, high-performing alternative asset manager undergoing strategic change – including fund rationalisation, new product launches, and infrastructure evolution. This role will provide hands-on leadership and oversight , ensuring operational stability while helping shape a scalable platform for future growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesInvestment Operations
- Oversee a small in-house operations team across middle/back office
- Enhance processes, controls, and scalability
- Review the current operating model, including potential outsourcing
- Act as senior escalation point and manage external service providers
Technology & IT Oversight
- Own the relationship with outsourced IT vendors
- Evaluate systems and technology strategy from a commercial perspective
- Ensure infrastructure supports ongoing business evolution
Finance Oversight
- Supervise existing finance resource and outputs
- Assess capability vs. fund finance and investor reporting requirements
- Ensure robust, timely financial and regulatory reporting processes
Wider Operational Leadership
- Provide broad COO-style support across the business
- Lead key operational initiatives (e.g. office relocation)
- Act as a stabilising senior presence during organisational change
- Senior operations generalist from private markets, private credit, or alternatives
- Experience operating in small, entrepreneurial asset managers
- Strong exposure to outsourced providers / fund administrators
- Proven ability to manage teams and vendors effectively
- Commercial, pragmatic decision-maker with strong stakeholder communication skills
- Sufficient technical awareness to oversee IT vendors (non-hands-on)
- Comfortable operating in a dynamic, evolving environment
- Immediate start preferred
