Job Description

Visa is seeking a Manager to be a member of the Visa Benefits team. Benefits at Visa is more than a compliance function - it is a strategic lever for attracting, retaining, and supporting the talent that powers a global payments network operating at extraordinary scale. The Benefits team designs and delivers programs spanning health and medical coverage, retirement and pension plans, disability and life insurance, paid time off, and wellbeing initiatives, ensuring every program is competitive, compliant, and genuinely valued by the employees it serves.

This role sits at the intersection of strategic program ownership and rigorous operational execution. You will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of benefits programs across your assigned markets - from plan design and vendor selection through renewal negotiations, compliance governance, and day-to-day delivery. You will serve as a trusted advisor to PBPs navigating complex cases, to employees seeking clear guidance on their benefits, and to business and finance leaders who rely on data-driven insight to evaluate program performance and investment. For a benefits professional who wants to deepen their expertise across a broad program portfolio, build advisory relationships with senior leaders, and influence how Visa's benefits offerings evolve, this role offers both the scope and the visibility to do exactly that.

All roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of benefit programs - including health and medical, life insurance, disability, retirement, paid time off, and service awards - ensuring competitiveness, compliance, and alignment to Visa's Total Rewards strategy.

  • Apply market intelligence and benchmarking data to inform renewal strategy, plan design decisions, and cost management across your assigned portfolio.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Rewards, PBPs, Payroll, Legal, Procurement, and external vendors, ensuring alignment across functions on benefits program delivery and governance.

  • Advise PBPs and managers on complex benefits matters with clarity and commercial acumen; present program performance data and recommendations to senior leaders with appropriate analytical depth.

  • Simplify complex benefits information for employees and champion wellbeing and inclusion-focused initiatives that strengthen the overall employee experience.

  • Own end-to-end vendor relationships - from procurement and contracting through performance management, invoice governance, and renewal negotiations - holding vendors accountable to agreed service levels.

  • Analyze program utilization, claims experience, return on investment, and employee feedback to evaluate program effectiveness; maintain audit-ready compliance documentation across all assigned markets.

  • Contribute to new market implementations, program redesigns, and Workday benefits module enhancements; identify and drive process improvements that increase the team's scalability and precision.

  • Own end-to-end design, implementation and administration for benefits in your assigned markets.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience managing benefits programs end-to-end, including plan design, vendor management, compliance, and operational delivery.

  • Proficiency working with benefits administration platforms, including Workday or equivalent HCM systems.

  • Strong analytical capability, including experience building cost models and interpreting utilization and claims data to support data-driven recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing complex, multi-country benefits programs with compliance and strategic alignment across diverse regulatory environments.

  • Expertise in stakeholder management, including influencing senior leaders and collaborating across Rewards, Finance, Legal, and People teams.

  • Experience in vendor negotiations, broker management, and commercial governance for benefits programs, including familiarity with procurement processes and tools such as Ariba.

  • Deep understanding of benefits program analytics - proficiency in Excel and experience translating utilization, ROI, and benchmarking data into actionable recommendations for senior audiences.

  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements governing benefits programs, including data privacy standards and audit compliance obligations.

  • Experience leveraging digital tools, including AI-enabled platforms, to improve benefits delivery, employee self-service, or analytical workflows.

  • Proficiency with Workday benefits administration modules; familiarity with additional HR or finance systems such as Oracle is an advantage.

  • Knowledge of Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) certification frameworks or equivalent total rewards credentials.

  • Experience contributing to employee experience initiatives, including wellbeing programs and diversity- and inclusion-focused benefits design.
