Job Description

• Assess SME credit applications, evaluating financial performance, cash flows, receivables and existing debt obligations.
• Conduct detailed financial statement analysis to determine repayment capacity and assess creditworthiness.
• Prepare comprehensive credit proposals, risk assessments and lending recommendations.
• Evaluate financing requirements and structure appropriate solutions to support clients' working capital needs.
• Assess invoice financing, receivables financing and other SME lending opportunities.
• Engage directly with clients to understand their business models, financial position and financing requirements.
• Monitor existing credit exposures, identify early warning indicators and recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures.
• Support portfolio reviews, facility renewals and amendments, as well as new client assessments.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of credit policies, underwriting standards and risk frameworks.
• Identify opportunities to improve credit processes through technology, automation and data-led assessment.
• Support the continued development and expansion of the credit function.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting or lending.
• Experience within SME Banking, Business Banking, Commercial Banking or SME Lending.
• Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, cash flow assessment and repayment capacity.
• Proven experience preparing credit proposals and making lending recommendations.
• Exposure to working capital facilities, invoice financing or receivables financing is advantageous.
• Strong commercial judgement and decision-making capabilities.
• Proactive and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Interest in fintech, digital transformation and process improvement.
• UAE market experience is preferred.
