JOB SUMMARY / INTRODUCTION

• Drive the development of the FAB Asset Management product range across all asset classes and product types, grounded in market analysis, client demand and competitive positioning.


• Own product ideation and design - investment proposition, target segment, vehicle and share class design, fee structure and commercial positioning - with legal documentation, regulatory filing and implementation executed by the relevant departments.


• Own product pricing and economics, including fee grids, margins, distribution economics and profitability, ensuring products are competitive in the market and commercially viable for FAB AM.


• Manage the product lifecycle end-to-end, from pipeline and business case to launch readiness, post-launch review, range rationalisation, mergers and closures.


• Contribute directly to the commercial effort alongside the sales and distribution teams, in particular on RFPs, due diligence questionnaires and client proposals.


• Live and demonstrate the FAB AM values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Market and competitive analysis: Analyse market trends, flows, client demand and regulatory developments across all asset classes and product types, and maintain systematic benchmarking of competitor ranges, structures, fee levels and commercial propositions.


• Pricing and product economics: Define and own the pricing architecture - management and performance fees, share classes, distribution economics, breakpoints and discounts - and model revenue, margin and profitability per product.


• Product design and structuring: Design the product: investment proposition, mandate and benchmark, vehicle and domicile, share classes, currency and hedging, distribution model and target investor base; structuring here is design, not legal implementation.


• Business case and pipeline: Build the business case for each new product and prepare the papers required by the relevant committees; own the product pipeline and the multi-year roadmap, aligned to the commercial strategy and distribution capacity.


• Commercial positioning: Define the positioning, differentiation and value proposition of each product, and equip the commercial teams with the content, arguments and competitive comparisons needed to sell effectively.


• RFPs and commercial proposals: Contribute actively to the commercial effort with the sales and distribution teams by drafting and reviewing the product, strategy and competitive sections of RFPs, DDQs and client proposals, and by maintaining a reusable library of approved product content and Q&A.


• Lifecycle management: Monitor the performance, flows, profitability and relevance of the existing range, and drive rationalisation, repositioning, mergers and closures where appropriate.


• Cross-functional delivery: Act as design authority and business owner through the delivery of each product, working with Investments, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Operations, Technology and external counsel who execute documentation, filing and implementation.


• Regulatory awareness and reporting: Maintain a solid understanding of the ADGM and CMA product frameworks and their implications for product design and distribution, and report to management on pipeline, launches, pricing and product economics.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience: 5 to 10 years in product development, product management or product strategy within asset management or regulated financial services.


• Market, competition and pricing: Hands-on experience analysing markets, client demand and competitor ranges using industry databases, and defining or challenging fee structures and product profitability.


• Product knowledge: Solid understanding of investment products, strategies and vehicle structures across all asset classes and product types, including share class and distribution mechanics, and sufficient familiarity with product documentation to direct the teams executing it.


• Commercial support: Practical experience responding to RFPs and due diligence questionnaires and producing client-facing proposal content, with excellent written English and the ability to meet tight commercial deadlines.


• Regulatory and stakeholder skills: Working knowledge of the regulatory environment applicable to product design and distribution; proven ability to lead multi-stakeholder workstreams and manage timelines and dependencies.


• Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline.


• Capabilities: Analytical rigour, commercial judgement, initiative and the ability to turn market insight into a credible, differentiated and profitable product proposition.

Preferred / Beneficial

• Regulatory and stakeholder skills: ADGM and CMA an advantage.


• Qualifications: CFA, CAIA or equivalent professional qualifications are advantageous.
