What's on offer

• Annual wage: £14,560 (with salary increase after 12 months)
• Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm (35 hours per week)
• Start date: Monday 7th September 2026
• Duration: 18 months
• Qualification: Level 3 Automotive Glazing Technician (A-Level equivalent)

What you'll be doing

Working from a local Auto Windscreens fitting centre, you'll gain practical, hands-on experience on customers' vehicles, including:

• Repairing chips in vehicle glass
• Replacing windscreens and body glass on a range of vehicles
• Learning how to recalibrate sensors for features such as:
• Automatic wipers
• Automatic braking
• Lane detection systems

As vehicles become more technology-focused, you'll be trained in the latest tools and techniques used across the industry.

• The role involves manual handling and lifting of vehicle glass
• You will need to pass your UK driving test by the end of the apprenticeship (if not already passed)
• Once qualified, the role becomes field-based and involves outdoor working

Your training

Your apprenticeship includes structured training and support throughout:

• Supported day-to-day by an experienced mentor at your base location
• Monthly visits from a training assessor
• Initial induction and training at head office (including uniform issue)
• Dedicated technical training days at head office during the programme
• 20% of your working hours spent in training or study
• Delivered by E.J. Markham & Son Ltd

By the end of the programme, you will be fully trained as a Level 3 Glazing Technician .
