SMC770 – Trustee Transaction Manager – Capital Markets

Overview:

Excellent opportunity to join a dynamic Transaction Management team within Capital Markets, as a Transaction Manager.  The successful candidate will be responsible for closing/managing a portfolio of structured finance transactions.  Responsibilities will include participating in the setup of structures, ensuring obligations are met / reflected in relevant documents and ongoing administration of transactions.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the review and commenting on a portfolio of mandated transaction documents, ensuring that the Trustee is fully protected.
  • Liaising with external counsel regarding transaction documents.
  • Regularly liaising with external transaction parties and relevant internal teams.
  • Attending client meetings/signings as appropriate.
  • Working with trustee teams to manage deal signings and closings.
  • Working through waivers and amendments with relvant parties and engaging counsel for the Trustee accordingly.
  • Managing any defaults and/or restructuring of existing transactions, ensuring that the trustee is protected and the duties to the bondholders and/or investors are upheld.
  • Entering relevant information into the database.
  • Assisting the Business Development team and contributing towards business development and marketing objectives (i.e. assisting team with pricing and initial quotes for relevant transactions).

Skills/Experience:

  • Relevant experience within a similar role.
  • Experience of reviewing securitisation and structured finance documentation.
  • Experience of trustee work essential.
  • Previous experience of defaults and restructuring preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
