Working Patterns and location - Fully on site
Key responsibilities
• Design, build, test, validate, and maintain all network infrastructure components.
• Implement new and enhanced network technologies aligned to customer strategic direction.
• Maintain standards for global network infrastructure including wireless, LAN, and SD-WAN.
• Manage installation, testing, and setup of physical and virtual network hardware.
• Ensure currency and ongoing supportability of networking technology across the estate.
• Support enterprise and remote site connectivity solutions for large-scale customers.
• Deliver work packages as part of a customer-focused engineering capability team.
Skills & experience
• Experience with enterprise and operator-scale routing protocols such as OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, LDP or RSVP.
• Strong knowledge of LAN switching in data centre and enterprise environments, including RSTP/MSTP, LAG, MC-LAG or SPB.
• Experience implementing network security technologies including MACSEC, IPSEC, and 802.1x.
• Knowledge of network security design including Firewall, IDS, and IPS management and configuration.
• Hands-on experience with first-hop resilience and security protocols in enterprise environments.
• Ability to manage installation and configuration of both physical and virtual network hardware.
• Experience supporting SD-WAN, wireless, and global network infrastructure standards.
• Must hold or be eligible for DV clearance - requires 10+ years of UK residency.
The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:
• Ability to contribute to engineering strategy and broader technical direction.
• Experience managing complex work activities spanning technical, financial, and quality dimensions.
• Confidence engaging and building relationships with senior stakeholders and customers.
• Ability to apply a wide range of technical and management principles creatively across projects.
