Client Data & Intelligence Lead
Location: London
A leading global asset manager is seeking an experienced Client Data & Intelligence Lead to join its Distribution function.
The role will be responsible for establishing and developing the firm's approach to client data and intelligence, ensuring high-quality and consistent client information across its systems. You will work closely with commercial and operational stakeholders to improve how client data is governed, structured and used to support sales effectiveness.
The successful candidate will combine strong client data and CRM experience with a good understanding of asset management distribution and commercial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and develop the client data strategy and governance model across Distribution.
- Define data standards and establish clear ownership of client and contact information across systems and markets.
- Drive improvements in client data quality, consistency and completeness.
- Develop robust client hierarchies, relationship models and segmentation frameworks.
- Build client intelligence capabilities that support targeting, prioritisation and commercial decision-making.
- Partner with Sales Leadership to optimise client coverage and identify higher-value opportunities.
- Provide analysis and recommendations to improve sales targeting and commercial effectiveness.
- Drive data enrichment and automation initiatives, reducing manual processes and improving scalability.
- Support the use of external data sources to strengthen existing client and prospect information.
- Build a trusted data foundation to support advanced analytics, forecasting, AI and future client intelligence capabilities.
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Technology and Operations to translate business requirements into practical data solutions.
Candidate Profile
- 7+ years' experience within client data, CRM, customer intelligence, data governance or a closely related area.
- Experience gained within Asset Management, Wealth Management, Banking or another B2B financial services environment.
- Strong track record of improving client data quality and implementing effective data governance.
- Experience managing or developing client hierarchies and segmentation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of sales, distribution and marketing processes.
- Ability to translate commercial requirements into data-led solutions that improve client coverage, targeting and decision-making.
- Hands-on experience with CRM platforms, ideally Salesforce.
- Experience using analytics tools and third-party data solutions.
- Exposure to data automation and AI-driven initiatives would be beneficial.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across Sales, Marketing, Technology and Operations.
- Comfortable operating in an international environment and working across multiple stakeholder groups.
