Job Description

Sompo, a leading global insurance company, is seeking a motivated Summer Intern to join our team in Zurich for an exciting 2-3 months internship beginning in July.

This role offers a valuable opportunity to support a data quality initiative focused on the cleanup of legacy customer information , using Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) data and AI-driven tools to help correct customer names and addresses and enrich records with DUNS numbers .

The internship is designed for students who are interested in gaining hands-on experience with data quality, enterprise systems, and practical applications of AI in a professional team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support a data quality project focused on the cleanup and enrichment of legacy customer data
• Use D&B data and AI-based tools to help validate and improve customer records
• Help identify, validate, and add DUNS numbers to customer records where appropriate
• Review data inconsistencies and support efforts to improve overall data accuracy and completeness
• Gain exposure to core enterprise applications such as Guidewire, Salesforce, and SAP
• Collaborate with team members in the Zurich office on project tasks, analysis, and documentation

Qualifications

• Currently studying Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• Strong interest in data quality, analytics, and technology
• Good technical aptitude and interest in working with data tools and systems
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with structured data
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Eagerness to learn in a collaborative office environment
