This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile and reputable industry leader. Due to evolving business needs, we are actively searching for an experienced Tax Director to look after the tax function in APAC.

The Role

Reporting to the Global Head of Tax, managing a team and working closely with local tax advisors, you will be responsible for overall tax compliance, planning and strategy across APAC. You will review tax returns, work with the team on the structure and maintenance of the entities and provide insights on the local tax issues, provide support to the operations, sales and accounting team, correspond with local tax authorities and support transfer pricing policy to ensure compliance. Provide support for process improvement and change management initiatives across our APAC tax reporting with an ongoing focus on data & technology. Assist the Corporate Tax team in monitoring quarterly/annual compliance, respond to diligence requests, provide updates on operations and acquisitions in the APAC region; Additional responsibilities include managing and maintaining vendor and business relationships, talent management, partnership with business and Finance leaders, as well as accountability for the establishment, maintenance, and effectiveness of controls across all processes within the tax function.

Your Profile

To qualify for this role, you must have a Degree in Accountancy with minimum 15 years of relevant tax experience from Big 4 and commercial firms (in a complex international environment). It is essential to have regional corporate tax exposure and advantageous to have knowledge of M&A tax, tax reporting regimes in APAC as well as GAAP and IFRS tax accounting concepts, including deferred tax. We are looking for an experienced Tax Leader with strong technical competency and an excellent communicator who is analytical and meticulous with good interpersonal skills.
