As part of the Global Dealing Desk, you will execute equity and listed derivatives transactions across Asian, regional and global markets, with primary responsibility for a major Asian market (India, China, Hong Kong or Japan).
Working within an institutional asset management environment, you will partner closely with portfolio managers, operations, compliance, risk and external counterparties to deliver high-quality execution whilst maintaining strong controls, market awareness and execution discipline.
Requirements
- 3-6 years of relevant dealer experience, with core expertise in a major Asian equities
- Knowledge of listed derivatives, including futures and options.
- Strong understanding of market microstructure, liquidity and execution
- Experience balancing electronic and voice execution, applying appropriate protocols.
- Proficiency with trading systems, EMS/OMS platforms and data analytics tools.
- Ability to analyse trading data and identify execution performance and process improvements.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
- High attention to detail and strong risk and compliance awareness.
- Proactive mindset with an interest in technology, automation and process improvement.
- Strong academics and willingness to broaden product and market coverage
Responsibilities
- Execute cash equities across a primary APAC market, while supporting global equities and listed derivatives trading.
- Trade futures, options and ETFs, leveraging an understanding of arbitrage relationships and market structure.
- Optimise execution by selecting appropriate venues, algorithms, counterparties and trading strategies.
- Deliver best execution while ensuring fair, consistent order handling and alignment with client objectives.
- Maintain expertise in market structure, liquidity, exchange rules, settlement practices and listed derivatives.
- Partner with PMs on trade implementation, execution strategy, market intelligence and liquidity insights.
- Utilise EMS/OMS platforms and data tools to support efficient, technology-driven execution.
- Monitor and enhance execution quality through TCA, analytics and data-driven process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, client mandates, exchange rules and internal policies.
- Manage market conduct risks and support audits, regulatory reviews and control testing.
- Build relationships with brokers, trading venues and technology providers.
- Collaborate with PMs, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Legal and Technology teams to resolve trading issues.
- Contribute to automation initiatives, workflow enhancements and adoption of new trading technologies.
- Continuously expand product and asset class expertise to support evolving investment needs.
