My client is a first-time Private Equity fund that has closed AUM 1bn in assets mainly from Global Tier 1 Institutional clients. The strategy is focused on controlled equity investments in renewable energy and infrastructure sectors.
They are looking for a Director level person in Singapore with solid deal origination and execution capabilities. The founding partners are very credible with decades of strong investment and operating experience hence were able to raise this first time fund with ease. They are not micro-managers and will leave you to it and people that have worked for them in the past have only great things to say about them. They will expect you to have bags of initiative and be self-motivated, resourceful, and creative enough to take the leads and win the business and structure / execute the deals.
They have already made a number of key acquisitions across the Asia Pacific market which means there is a fair amount of asset management/value creation work as well in this job. This means they are also looking for someone who likes to get involved in business.
The salary will be USD 200-250k on the base and bonus would likely be 6-12 months plus generous carry will be distributed based on the European waterfall model
The ideal candidate would have 8-10 years of experience from a Bulge Bracket Investment Bank ideally from TMT or Energy or Infrastructure teams.
It would be helpful if the candidate can also speak any other Asian language.
