We are seeking a fullstack trading developer to work on real-time, data-intensive front-end applications used by traders, sales, and operations teams. The role focuses on building and enhancing trading user interfaces such as blotters, dashboards, and order workflows, working closely with senior engineers in a trading environment.

We are looking for a Fullstack Software Engineer to:
• design and develop new software products using AI-assisted and agentic engineering practices and agile methodologies
• leverage GitHub Copilot and AI-powered development tools to accelerate software design, implementation, testing, debugging and documentation
• have a proactive and solution driven attitude to help deliver time sensitive project deliveries
• ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and robust software products that seamlessly integrate into the enterprise-wide ecosystem and access channels
• analyze business requirements, design and implement solutions, and develop software components to incrementally enhance the product
• ensure that produced code is secure, stable, scalable, and operational
• support the product in resolving high-priority defects and deploying fixes to production systems
• contribute to improving engineering productivity, quality, automation, and development lifecycle efficiency through the effective use of AI technologies
• collaborate effectively with other global IT teams

The team

In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. The stream provides seamless digital trading access and solutions to our clients and covers front to back all processes along the securities trading value chain.
As a member of the development team, you will be building a new state-of-the-art trading tool. You are responsible for the development and continuous improvement of applications in the trading stream which will serve UBS Global Wealth Management Business in Europe and APAC and will be working closely with other business and IT aligned teams around the globe.

Your skills and experience

Your expertise:
• Develop and maintain front-end applications using React and TypeScript
• Build UI components for trading workflows including orders, executions, positions, and monitoring screens
• Implement data-heavy screens such as tables, grids, and dashboards
• Consume and display real-time data from streaming sources such as WebSockets or similar technologies
• Ensure UI performance, responsiveness, and correctness under frequent data updates
• Integrate REST APIs and backend services into the UI
• Fullstack experience in working across the stack using Java
• Collaborate with backend engineers, UX designers, and business stakeholders
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions
• Debug and resolve UI bugs, performance issues, and production defects
• Write unit and integration tests for UI components
• Follow established engineering standards, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes

Required Skills and Experience:
• 3 to 5 years of experience in front-end development
• 1+ years working on server side, in Java(17+), using functional Java techniques
• Familiarity with Spring framework and build libraries like Gradle, Maven
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture principles
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with React and modern hooks
• Experience building data-driven UIs with tables or grids
• Familiarity with REST APIs and asynchronous data handling
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, React hook forms, Redux, State machines, React query and responsive design
• Experience working in an agile development environment

Nice to Have:
• Exposure to real-time or streaming data (WebSockets, STOMP, SSE)
• Experience with enterprise UI libraries such as AG-Grid, Material UI, or Ant Design
• Knowledge of financial markets or trading systems
• Familiarity with state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, or React Query
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
• hands-on experience using GitHub Copilot, Copilot Chat, or equivalent AI-assisted software engineering tools in a professional development environment

• Comfortable working on complex, data-heavy user interfaces
• Willingness to learn trading workflows and financial domain concepts
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to take ownership of features with guidance from leads
