Job Objective:

• To formulate investment strategies for Private Banking (PB) / Treasures Private Client (TPC) customers with compliance of all external regulations and internal requirements
• Express CIO investment strategy to front line teams and clients
• Contribute to generation of thematic ideas, macro strategy

Principal Responsibilities

• Produce regular update report to PB/TPC front office teams and stake holders
• Present regular update on market and CIO views to PB/TPC RMs
• Contribute ad hoc feature articles to media platforms
• Oversee the translation and repurposing of CIO materials (Daily Snapshot, CIO Perspective, CIO Insight, other CIO publications) into Traditional Chinese
• Attend client meetings with Greater China front office RMs/ICs to express CIO house views, support the business directions of DBS Wealth Management
• Contribution of macro investment views, generation of new investment ideas and themes

Key Accountabilities

• Fulfill and complete the job objectives and principal responsibilities.
• To monitor and analyze the structure of customer investment portfolios via wealth management studies and distinguish the risk of the fast-changing economic environment for providing strategic alternatives to the bank and market commentary for customers to make informed investment decision.
• To bridge between the overall economic trends based on in-house views and market consensus and business opportunities to formulate investment strategies for investment and/or insurance products.
• Compliance of own self with physical and information security standards.

Relevant Experience

• 10 years or more of experience in fund management/private banking/investment research with sound industry knowledge and fluent writing skills.
• At least 5 years of front office and client facing experience in banking/ financial industry.
• At least 5 years related experience in different financial products, e.g. Equity, Fixed Income, or Mutual Fund

Education and Professional Qualification

• Graduate in Commerce/ Finance/ Economics, or relevant disciplines.
• Postgraduate or qualification of CFP/ CFA / FRM is an added advantage
