Position Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced BA/PM with a background in Asset Management operations and systems to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Asset Management workflows (front-to-back), product management, and knowledge of the full lifecycle of investment operations — from order management through settlement and NAV reporting.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Work with Asset Management business stakeholders to identify product requirements and create and own the product roadmap for AM platforms (e.g., OMS, PMS, operations, reporting).
- Ensure that Asset Management platforms meet business needs, support regulatory requirements, and align with the firm's growth and entity consolidation objectives.
- Ensure the platforms are properly integrated with upstream/downstream systems (e.g., market data, trading, settlement, accounting, risk)
- Work with development teams to ensure features are delivered on time and meet business stakeholder expectations.
- Own and coordinate system testing and UAT cycles — including test planning, test case preparation, defect tracking, and sign-off with business users.
- Conduct process analysis and monitor key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and operational efficiency gains
- Partner with Compliance and Risk teams to meet regulatory requirements (e.g., SFC, CSRC, cross-border data regulations).
- Work with business to define data administration, document governance, and entitlement controls
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree or higher in IT or Business disciplines
- Around 5-8 years experience as a BA/PM or similar role, with a focus on Asset Management systems or operations.
- Candidates with more experience can be considered as Lead BA
- Strong understanding of Asset Management workflows: order management, portfolio management, trade lifecycle, reconciliation, NAV calculation, and client reporting
- Familiarity with data governance, regulatory, and compliance requirements relevant to asset management (SFC, CSRC, cross-border data transfer)
- Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin, ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Hands-on experience in system testing and UAT — including writing test scripts, coordinating test cycles, and managing defect resolution.
- Strong troubleshooting skills — ability to diagnose system issues, perform root cause analysis, read application logs, and work with technical teams to drive resolution under pressure.
- Software development skills is a strong advantage (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript) and familiarity with development practices (version control, CI/CD, code review)
- Familiarity with databases (SQL), APIs, system architecture, scripting, and ability to independently investigate data issues or write ad-hoc queries
- Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
