Job Description:

The Manager / Senior Manager of Technology Delivery will spearhead the development and implementation of cutting-edge solutions that drive Sun Life's business objectives. This role demands a strategic visionary with a robust background in project management, application development, and digital transformation, coupled with a deep understanding of the insurance industry landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and orchestrate the delivery of complex digital projects from inception to completion, ensuring seamless alignment with business goals and evolving customer needs.

• Oversee large-scale cloud migration initiatives, guaranteeing smooth transitions and optimal performance of cloud-based applications.

• Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.

• Cultivate and manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring transparent communication and effective expectation management throughout project lifecycles.

• Develop, implement, and refine best practices for project management and digital solution delivery, driving continuous improvement.

• Proactively monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues, proposing innovative solutions to mitigate challenges and optimize outcomes.

• Stay at the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying and leveraging opportunities for groundbreaking innovation.

• Guide teams in the development of web and mobile applications, ensuring the delivery of exceptional user experiences that set new standards in the industry.

• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and technical excellence.

• Ensure unwavering compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies throughout all stages of project execution.

• Spearhead API design and development initiatives, implementing best practices for seamless integration across platforms.
   

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the IT sector, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role.

• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex digital solutions and managing large-scale projects, particularly in cloud migration and digital transformation.

• Comprehensive knowledge of digital technologies and trends relevant to the insurance sector, with a focus on emerging technologies.

• Demonstrated expertise in API design and development, with a deep understanding of best practices for system integration.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical and business challenges.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of an organization.

• Extensive experience with Agile methodologies and their practical application in large-scale projects.

• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate high-performing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
