Purpose
  • To build high quality performance and risk analysis tools for the investment team
  • To assist with the execution of complex transactions
  • To assist with the identification of new investment opportunities

How you can contribute
  • To help the investment team identify opportunities to optimize risk / return characteristics of the portfolio
  • To build the core tools for the daily monitoring of Group wide investment portfolios (cash, interest rate risk, credit risk, derivatives, delta one asset allocation)
  • To assist with the development of stochastic asset-liability models for use by front office and other departments (e.g. actuarial)
  • To ensure the integrity of daily information delivered to the investment book of records, to ensure robust downstream reporting (e.g accounting data dependencies and Risk
  • Liaison with local teams to encourage best practice data management, reporting and risk control
  • Assisting with reporting to local, Group and Board committees on these activities as required

Who we are looking for
  • Degree in a financial discipline, e.g. finance / actuarial, others will be considered
  • Knowledge of financial markets and practice
  • Knowledge of practical investment management
  • Practical derivatives knowledge, including valuation
  • Quantitative finance skills
  • Programming skills, preferably in C
