Job Description

Institutional Sales Focus

• Develop and execute strategic business development plans to acquire, expand and retain institutional client relationships.
• Drive fundraising initiatives across institutional investors including pension funds, insurance companies, banks, corporates, family offices, sovereign wealth funds and consultants.
• Identify new market opportunities and establish sustainable distribution channels across Hong Kong and selected international markets.
• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline while delivering against business growth objectives.
• Lead client meetings, due diligence presentations, and investment discussions alongside portfolio management teams.

Client Portfolio Manager (CPM) / Investment Specialist Focus

• Serve as the key liaison between investment teams and clients, translating investment strategies into compelling client solutions.
• Partner closely with portfolio managers to communicate investment views, portfolio positioning and performance attribution.
• Conduct in-depth portfolio analysis and provide customized investment recommendations aligned with client objectives and risk profiles.
• Support product development, strategic messaging, and market positioning initiatives.
• Deliver thought leadership, market insights and investment commentary to clients and prospects.

Cross-Functional Responsibilities

• Monitor market developments, macroeconomic trends, competitive dynamics and regulatory changes impacting investor behaviour.
• Prepare high-quality presentations, RFPs, pitchbooks, fund reviews and client-facing materials.
• Collaborate with investment, product, risk, legal, compliance and operations teams to ensure seamless execution and client servicing.
• Maintain strong CRM discipline and provide management reporting on pipeline activity, client engagement and business development progress.
• Represent the firm at industry conferences, investor events and networking forums.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline; Master's degree and/or professional qualifications (e.g., CFA) preferred.
• Approximately 10+ years of relevant experience in Institutional Sales, Client Portfolio Management, Investment Specialist, Asset Management Distribution, or related investment advisory functions.
• Proven track record within asset management, private banking, investment management or institutional investment solutions.
• Strong understanding of institutional investor requirements, portfolio construction and investment products across equities, fixed income and multi-asset strategies.
• Established network among institutional investors, financial institutions, insurance companies, corporate treasury teams, consultants and/or sovereign investors would be highly advantageous.
• Commercially driven with a demonstrated ability to translate market opportunities into tangible business results.
• Excellent stakeholder management, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-growing and dynamic environment.
• Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in Bloomberg, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and CRM platforms.
