The Sales Controller/CRM Manager is a service focused individual responsible for providing disciplined and structured sales controlling support for the DCPLA distribution team. The Sales Controller will report to the Head of Fund Placement and will work in the middle office closely with experienced Sales Professionals and Relationship Managers administrating and supporting their activities to facilitate distribution in their assigned territory(ies), region(s) and/or line of business.

DC Placement Advisors (DCPLA) operates 3 business lines:

  1. Fund Marketing & Distribution – DCPLA assists private market firms in raising capital for alternative investments and advises on all the stages and areas of the fundraising process including strategy, structuring, documentation, investor road-shows, investor due diligence and closings.
  2. Strategic Advisory Services – DCPLA advises investment managers on fund positioning, fund structuring, investor mapping and market testing.
  3. Investor Communications - DCPLA advises its clients on all aspects of strategic communications with their existing or potential/target investor base.

We are looking ASAP for a qualified Sales Controller/CRM Manager, to be based in the head office Munich:

The Sales Controller/CRM Manager is a service focused individual responsible for providing disciplined and structured sales controlling support  for the DCPLA distribution team. The Sales Controller  will report to the Head of Fund Placement and will work in the middle office closely with experienced Sales Professionals and Relationship Managers administrating and supporting their activities to facilitate distribution in their assigned territory(ies), region(s) and/or line of business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain our  internal CRM (salesforce.com) – solicit feedback, research business opportunity/ background, perform investor and consultant mapping, reconcile details for tracking and record-keeping purposes, assist with generating sophisticated system reports
  • Utilize CRM workflow for compliance review and facilitate necessary edits to achieve approvals
  • Manage in- and outbound relationships with key stakeholders (Advisory, Sales, Senior Management)
  • Organize successful and high profile sales and marketing calls/meetings (pitches, roadshows) with our clients (investment managers) and our institutional investors across the globe
  • Direct all components of preparation for client/prospect-facing activity (prep calls, logistics, presentation material requirements)
  • Assist in responding to ad hoc follow up questions and gather feedback after the completion of client/prospect-facing activity
  • Undertake ad hoc projects such as feedback loop and monthly roadshow planning

Qualifications, Desired Skills and Experience

  • 3+ year experience in a sales supporting or controlling role in the middle office
  • Experience in the investment industry a plus, but not required
  • Detail oriented and motivated team player able to work well in a deadline driven environment
  • Ability to work independently, while keeping cohesive team appraised of project status
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Technical proficiency with software applications including: CRM Salesforce Microsoft Word, Excel, Pivot tables and Outlook, and is a must!

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Master degree is required from an accredited college or university with preference given to finance degrees
  • Excellent command in Business English, other languages are a plus
