Due to continued demand, we are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our Real Estate team in Munich. This role will require presence in Munich, though we offer flexibility in balancing this with presence in our Frankfurt office. The role offers a high level of responsibility to the successful candidate, being embedded within Macquarie Asset Management's Real Estate business and working across a broad spectrum of tax matters in support of transactional and ongoing business activities.
Your responsibilities will extend across tax compliance, reviewing a mix of corporate income tax, VAT and transfer pricing reports, and working closely with other members of the Macquarie Asset Management's Real Estate tax team to deliver transaction tax structuring advice and tax planning, pre- and post- transactions. You will also be required to liaise with, and coordinate, local services providers including administrators and tax advisors, to deliver the tax requirements for the production of financial statements, monitoring and reporting of relevant tax law changes, and where necessary, handling tax authority audits.
To be successful in the role, you will have between 2-5 years of experience in international and/or German taxation and a good understanding of tax structuring. You will be degree educated or hold an equivalent certification in Tax law. You will be fluent in both German and English with the ability to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders at various levels of seniority. You will also have intermediate or advanced skills on MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
