Job description


•Gather and define solution requirements with the customer

•Designing and developing automation and integration solutions for Insurance clients, using a bespoke Java BPM tool and the Prophet component product

•Development and testing of Prophet Data Management solutions

•Taking part in projects dedicated to providing end-to-end actuarial results calculation platform for FIS clients



Bachelor´s degree in: computer science, data processing science, information technology, mathematics, engineering or equivalent

Experience in developing the following application systems with Java:

  • Advanced Java technologies (Java EE, Spring, JPA, REST/SOAP Webservices)
  • Solid experience in Web based technologies (JavaScript, AngularJS, HMTL5)
  • Frameworks and tools (JAXB, Maven, Gulp, Bower, node npm, JUnit)
  • Relational databases (MSSQL, T-SQL)
  • Ability to write testable and maintainable code
  • Exposure to working in multi-language projects (C#, nuget, Powershell) is a plus[GIF1] 
  • Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into solution designs
  • Strong presentation, writing and communication skills in public and private meetings
  • Experience with both agile (SCRUM) and waterfall development methodologies
  • Would be ideal to have experience in business process modelling BPMN (or similar notation), workflow engines (i.e. Activity, jBPM) and rule engines (i.e. Drools, VisualRules, jRules)
  • Best practices, standards and protocols for application system communication and integration (i.e. EIP patterns, Twelve Factor App)
  • Experience with or interested in complex, distributed software projects in the finance or insurance sector are a plus
  • Creativity and curiosity for solving problems and finding new approaches
  • A structured and result oriented work approach
  • The ability to work with diverse teams (local and remote)


Business fluency in English and German
Ability to work within the EU[GIF2]
