Eclipse Trading is a leading proprietary derivatives trading firm. Founded in 2007, we have over 100 employees across 4 office locations – Hong Kong (our HQ), Sydney, Shanghai and Chicago. Our trading expertise and strategies are deployed across several markets globally, focusing on various products including equity derivatives, delta one, ETFs, commodity derivatives, and cryptocurrency. Due to organic growth, we are looking for a C++ Software Engineer to join our Low Latency Development team which is responsible for the firm’s market links and algorithmic trading system.

The successful candidate will be a member of the team responsible for developing market links and core components for our in-house developed trading systems. The level of seniority for this role (e.g. mid-senior level) will be commensurate with the relevant experience and qualifications of the selected candidate.

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Develop low latency exchange connectivity and trading algorithms, including quoting, hedging, and arbitrage for listed derivatives and delta one products
2. Work closely with quants and traders to define the behavior of trading algorithms
3. Develop C++ applications for core trading infrastructure
4. Test code thoroughly including automated testing, and actively participate in code reviews
5. Provide tier 3 support

What you offer

1. University degree in Computer Science or related field
2. 3+ years of C++ server-side development on Linux (C++ 14 or later desirable)
3. Strong technical design skills
4. Solid understanding of multithreading, network socket programming and low latency programming techniques
5. Experience in developing automated trading systems or exchange connectivity (China exchanges is a plus)
6. Experience with Kafka is a plus
7. Solid data analysis skills
8. Excellent communication in spoken and written English
