About This Role
As a Tax Expert with Intuit you'll work directly with clients to prepare their tax return, provide tax guidance, and help troubleshoot their tax questions. This is a virtual, seasonal, and client facing position in which you'll have access to our virtual tools and resources, as well as opportunities to collaborate with experts and provide updates on assigned customers. At the end of the season we offer opportunities to work with us again for following seasons.
- 3+ years’ paid professional tax preparation experience, using professional tax preparation software
- Experience providing support in a call center environment a plus
- Experience preparing and supporting a variety of federal and provincial returns for individuals, including student, pension, self-employed, rental property, investments, and foreign income
- Experience preparing & filing E2E client personal returns, including employment, self-employment, rental, investments, T1135, foreign income and all credits/deductions
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Bilingualism (English/French, read/write/speak) is required.

- Expérience de travail dans diverses situations fiscales tant au fédéral qu’au provincial : les étudiants, les pensionnés, les travailleurs autonomes et particuliers qui gagnent des revenus d’un bien locatif, de placements ou de sources étrangères
- Expérience dans la préparation de déclarations de revenus des particuliers Canadiens, y compris l'emploi, le travailleur indépendant, la location, les investissements, le T1135, les revenus étrangers et tous les crédits/déductions
- Excellentes compétences en communication orale et écrite.
- Bilinguisme (anglais et français, lu, écrit et parlé) est requis.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years’ paid professional tax preparation experience, using professional tax preparation software
- Minimum of 125 tax returns prepared, per tax season for the last 3 years
- Experience preparing and supporting a variety of federal and provincial returns for individuals, including student, pension, self-employed, rental property, investments, and foreign income
- Experience preparing & filing E2E customer personal returns, including employment, self-employment, rental, investments, T1135, foreign income and all credits/deductions
- Working knowledge of tax laws and tax concepts, superior critical thinking, and problem- solving skills
- Highly technical and comfortable with Windows and mobile platforms, as well as G-suite applications (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility in availability/schedule
- Bilingual proficiency (English and French, read/write and speak) is considered an asset
- Experience preparing Quebec tax (TP1) returns considered an asset
- Experience providing support in a contact center environment is considered an asset
Responsibilities
- Provide tax guidance for personal tax returns in a remote, seasonal and customer facing position
- Collaborate with customers to prepare or review their tax return to ensure the return is compliant and accurate, by providing tax guidance and/or tax preparation services
- Research and troubleshoot tax questions; communicate directly with customers by answering specific tax questions (written & oral)
- Provide a Full Service experience to prepare, review and file customers returns with the CRA and/or assist customers as they prepare their own tax return with tax advice, tax preparation and guidance on required documents for the CRA
- Research tax regulations to provide accurate advice on how to maximize customer’s tax return
- Create high-quality customer interactions and experiences that instill confidence using deep customer empathy, and your in-depth tax knowledge and expertise
- Proactively seek out and deliver the right answer for each customer by utilizing and government websites, professional resources, and team expertise and translating into everyday language for customers
- Apply defined practices, procedures and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer inquiries
