Main Purpose:
We are experiencing unprecedented growth at Trafigura. To effectively support this growth, our team must grow rapidly and operate differently to attract, recruit and retain top talent. You will help to identify and attract the best and brightest talent to our North America (Calgary, Toronto, & Houston locations) teams. You will own hiring targets, collaborate with a selection of key stakeholders across our organizations, and help us creatively evolve how we attract, hire and create an unforgettable experience for every candidate.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable meeting new people frequently and have an ability to determine a candidate's potential through clever questions. They should have excellent organizational skills in order to build and maintain a pipeline of prospective candidates. Additionally, they should be committed to both meeting and exceeding assigned quotas.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects across North America recruiting process through the ATS/database, creating requisitions, managing candidates, to closing out a role
  • Source, recruit, and hire in North America for a wide range of roles across our business organizations, providing the utmost candidate experience
  • Develop collaborative relationships with key partners across the organizations to understand their hiring objectives and develop targeted recruiting strategies
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to hiring managers and leadership by providing strategic recruiting methods and consultation in order to obtain top talent
  • Design and execute individualized full-cycle staffing plans for assigned hiring teams, including the creation and posting of compelling position descriptions
  • Own the candidate management and development process from identification and engagement to offer extension, closing and onboarding
  • Serve as the main point of contact for questions and concerns from candidates
  • Proactively source candidates throughout North America through internal referrals, headhunt through LinkedIn, connect with a variety of networks through professional organizations, and more
  • Screen applications daily through the WorkDay (WD) system
  • Conduct phone screens with potential candidates to understand experiences and gauge expectations
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with potential candidates
  • Qualify or reject candidates based on resume reviews and interview feedback
  • Team up with HR to create compelling offer packages and manage negotiations
  • Leverage recruiting data by proactively providing status reports and hiring results to communicate the progress against hiring needs and timelines to hiring managers, leadership, and HR representatives
  • Monitor the North America job markets and conduct research to stay informed of market trends
  • Work cross-functionally across a team of high performing HR representatives and promote a culture of inspiration, empowerment and inclusion
Abilities, Experience and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or relevant experiences
  • At least 4 years of experience in Corporate Recruiting - full life cycle, research, and sourcing
  • At least 2 years of experience consulting with multiple hiring managers at once while developing and enhancing excellent working relationships with those managers and their teams
  • Experience navigating an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), preferably WorkDay
  • Ability to communicate effectively and frequently with leaders across the organization
  • Ability to influence and drive results in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to use innovative techniques to attract and recruit diverse talent
  • Experience in compensation and general HR requirements as related to hiring


Key Relationships and Department Overview:
Reports directly to the Regional North America HR Manager
