AI & Automation Engineer (f/m/x)

Working Student/Part-time/Full-time

The gross monthly salary (full-time equivalent) starts at EUR 3,143 and depends on your

qualifications and experience. The actual number of hours is depending on your availability

and can be arranged flexibly.

What you will build:

• Screening tools that read thousands of company websites and sort an M&A longlist into

fits, non-fits and maybes - each with a written rationale.

• Pipelines that extract financials from annual reports, filings and data exports, validate

them, and produce clean Excel outputs.

• Generators for Excel and PowerPoint deliverables along MP's style guide.

• Agent skills and workflows on our AI platform, complete with evaluation sets to measure

the share of correct outputs.

• Small internal web apps including proper access control and documentation in order

for others to run them.

What we expect from you:

• Ongoing or completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in either computer science, data

science, machine learning, engineering or a quantitative field. Alternatively, an

equivalent track record of things you have built — please share GitHub, portfolio or

demo links with your application.

• Solid Python knowledge beyond notebooks, and everyday Git: branches, pull requests,

code review.

• Hands-on work with LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI or open models): prompts for

structured extraction, function/tool calling, and evaluation.

• Basic understanding of REST APIs, JSON and basic SQL.

• Productive use of AI coding assistants (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, Codex)

• Fluency in English; German or another European language is a plus.

• A genuine interest in finance, M&A and the fast-moving world of international

transactions.

• Discretion: you will see confidential deal information.
