Your Team
Quantitative and Data Science is a core function of the Markets division. Markets division is comprised of product specialists across a number of different asset classes. The build of the Data and Analytics capability across the markets division sits within the Business Development team providing services across the markets division.

Your Team
Quantitative and Data Science is a core function of the Markets division. Markets division is comprised of product specialists across a number of different asset classes. The build of the Data and Analytics capability across the markets division sits within the Business Development team providing services across the markets division.
Your responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines to ingest, process, and store large volumes of financial market data.
- Collaborate with quantitative researchers, academics and analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into efficient data solutions.
- Implement data validation, cleansing, and enrichment processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Optimize data storage and retrieval mechanisms to support trading and real-time analytics.
- Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and documentation to facilitate data accessibility and usability.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in market data.
- Work with various data sources, including market feeds, trading systems, and third-party APIs.
- Implement and maintain data quality monitoring and alerting systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in financial market microstructure and data engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions into trading platforms and analytical tools.
Your experience and qualifications
Must have
- Extensive knowledge and experience of financial markets, particularly Exchanges, Trading in general and specific knowledge of Equities and Futures.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Quantitative Developer, or similar role in the financial industry.
- Strong proficiency in Python for data manipulation, analysis, and automation.
- Deep understanding of financial market microstructure, including order types, market participants, and trading dynamics.
- Experience with data processing frameworks and tools such as Pandas, NumPy, and Apache Spark.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and distributed computing.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools and libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, PowerBI, Tableau)
Nice to have
- Experience with time-series data and high-frequency trading environments.
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques and frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow) is a plus.
- Understanding of algorithmic trading strategies and quantitative finance principles.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodology
