Associate Analyst 3

Location: Gurgaon, Haryana, India

Role/Responsibilities
- This role supports the creation and publication of approximately 650 new or updated Company Profile
(CP) reports annually for banking, insurance, and corporate public issuers across all geographies -
Americas, EMEA &APAC. CPs are fact?based reports that include a mix of public financial data and
descriptive qualitative information, providing a broad, high?level overview of the issuer. The person will
work closely with India?based research and editorial colleagues, onshore Analysts and Research
Managers, and the MIS Production Team.

Key activities include:
- Create / update Company Profile reports for public issuers in the Banking, Insurance and Corporate industry sectors; CPs cover multiple facets of the company including company overview, business/segment description, management strategy and priorities, financial highlights, capital structure & debt maturity schedule, company management, ownership
structure, subsidiaries, company history, distribution channels
- Leverage public information and data sources such as company and industry databases, general secondary sources, journals, annual reports/ financial filings, company, government and ministry websites
- Understand and interpret industry?specific information, such as trends and characteristics based on Economic, social, political, technological, etc. background
- Quality check reports for accuracy of financial data and written content
- Work in the Moody's Content Management System (CMS) platform; CMS is used to create, update and edit reports, as well as managing workflow and publication processes

Skills and Qualifications

Functional/Technical skills
- Strong research background with experience handling projects across industries/ sectors/geographies; good understanding of sector?specific KPI's specific
- Familiar with financial statements and a strong financial vocabulary
- Understand key sections and structure of public company filings, e.g., where to locate balance sheet data, where to look for key affiliations of the Board of Directors, description of company business Segments, etc.
- Strong MS Excel skills; ability to build and format financial tables, create/update various styles of charts (pie, column, line, multi?axis)
- Fluency in leveraging the internet to locate relevant source materials

Communications skills
- Strong written and spoken English
- Ability to interact directly via phone and/or email with onshore Research Managers and Analysts to both pose and respond to questions when necessary, e.g., clarify Analyst instructions, request research Materials, recommend different approach/solution to achieving a task

Management/Behavioral skills
- Manage work assignments and deadlines to deliver analyst?ready files on schedule
- Strong organizational / time management skills; tenacious and flexible in high?pressure
work situations
- Pro?active problem?solving abilities and strong analytical thinking to seek the "why, how
and so? what?" of a problem statement and ability to think of multiple/alternative solutions
to a given problem
- Provide inputs to senior team members for improving team's performance and quality standards
- A positive outgoing attitude with good interpersonal skills, and the ability to build strong
professional Relationships with both internal and external parties
- Ability and appetite to work as a part of a close?knit team
- High level of personal and professional integrity evident through past achievements

Educational Qualification
- Post?graduate / MBA

Experience
- 1?2 years of related financial research experience
