My client a leading global banking group is looking to recruit an experienced Loan, Remedial, Special Asset Management professional to become a senior member of its Loan Management team in Hong Kong. The role will be at a VP level. Candidates with less experience will be considered for a Manager/AVP level role.

The Senior Manager – Loan Management will manage a portfolio of stressed, distressed and defaulted accounts in order the minimize financial losses through efficient and effective recovery and workout processes with appropriate regard to commercial, legal and reputational considerations. The jobholder will provide know how, expertise and problem solving skills within the area of corporate recovery and workout to risk functions and coordinate account strategies, recovery and workout efforts providing advisory services on watch list and other accounts as appropriate. Additionally, the incumbent will facilitate improvements on credit lending by drawing observations from incoming accounts and disseminate learning points through training opportunities and lessons learnt.

The successful candidate will be a degree holder with at least 8 years’ experience ideally gained in a stressed or distressed assets, workout and recovery, remedial/loan/special asset management focused role. Applicants will need to have gained significant experience in non-performing loan or credit space and have the ability to work under pressure and utilize rational problem solving and lateral thinking skills. Candidates will need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills including fluency in English, Cantonese and/or Mandarin.
